Dr. Mabry has been a successful rural family practitioner in Pleasanton, Tex. since 1985. She is a clinical associate professor at the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio and has been a fellow at the Faculty Development Center in Waco, Texas, since 1997.
Dr. Mabry is a recognized leader in family practice. She is past president of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP), having chaired both the task force on Governance and the task force on TAFP research. In addition, she has served on the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Commission on Public Health and Commission on Clinical Policies and Research and is the current delegate to the AAFP. She has been a fellow of the American Board of Family Practice since 1992. Dr. Mabry is a member of the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners District 14 Review Board, appointed to this position by President George W. Bush.
Dr. Mabry is the 2000 TAFP Physician of the Year, the 2001 finalist for AAFP Physician of the Year 2001 and was selected in 1996 as the Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
